PONTIANAK – West Kalimantan Governor, H. Sutarmidji and the Deputy Governor Ria Norsan attended the Public Consultation activity “Improving the Quality of Society Life, Productivity and Competitiveness” initiated by the Regional Development Planning Agency of West Kalimantan Province, at Kapuas Dharma Hotel Pontianak, Wednesday (10/2/2022).
Governor explained the infrastructure index of 68. Therefore, the budget of infrastructure is the biggest one in year of 2022. He hoped that infrastructure index of 2022 should be up above 70 and can reach76-77 in the end of Regional Mid-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) in 2023.
“Data must be valid. Currently, the number of independent villages in West Kalimantan has reached 385, where previously there was only 1 independent village. We are targeting the number of independent villages in 2022 to be 419 villages. This is inseparable from the collaboration and synergy between the West Kalimantan Provincial Government and the TNI-Polri, so that we can fulfill 54 independent village indicators,” he said.
In the export-import sector, West Kalimantan is in a safe position at this time. The Governor hopes that the achievement of performance, revenue and realization (APBD) will increase well in 2022.
He emphasized once again about the importance of using valid data in order to make development effective in West Kalimantan. The Governor agreed with President Joko Widodo regarding the optimization of One Data.
“Planning will be good if the data is valid, as well as the budget. If you compile a program with incorrect data, it will not be right on target. Indicators of a program are very important because our work must be based on indicators. Therefore, we must validate the data and create a common perception with all regencies/cities Bappeda (Regional Development Plan Agency) in West Kalimantan and other relevant agencies,” said the Governor.
The results of this Public Consultation Forum will later become input/correction material in the implementation of the Regional Apparatus Work Unit Forum which will be held at the West Kalimantan Provincial Development Plan Deliberation (Musrenbang Prov Kalbar) to become a reference for the preparation of the 2023 Work Plan for all West Kalimantan Provincial Government Regional Organizations.
